Grunge meets Classy: walking around Milan

This is quite an unusual post for me. I have never done something like this, and honestly I’m feeling quite nervous about it. I loved fashion my whole life and I always had in mind that one day I would post something fashion related on the blog. However I never thought that I would actually “model” for the fashion posts myself. The reason why I wanted to change things up a little bit is that I’ve been lacking a lot of inspiration lately. Don’t get me wrong, I love writing about my cakes and taking pictures at the desserts I bake, but when I created The Hot Mess I wanted to be able to talk about different topics that I was interested in, not only about baking. I’ve talked about a few of my travels and a few beauty products that I have been loving, but then my posts would mostly revolve around recipes and cakes.

Since I’ve been living in Milan I got more and more into the fashion world. This city is full of inspirations. From clothes, to buildings and art, everything is modern and creative. That’s why I’ve decided to get out of my little comfort zone and try to get myself out there. This is my first fashion post and I really hope that you guys are going to love it. Me and my good friend Francesca Startari, who has also a youtube channel, took some pictures around Milan and I think that they came out really great.

For my first shoot I decided to wear my favourite off the shoulder top, which is so on trend right now. Mine is from Bershka but you can seriously find them everywhere rightnow. I paired it with my Pull and Bear “Mom” jeans to make the outfit a little bit more casual but still quite put together. I think that this outfit is perfect for a casual evening out with friends. I wear it quite often and it feels super comfortable.

Top: Bershka

Jeans: Pull and Bear
