If you clicked on the info button, you probably read that I am italian. Yes, you read that right, I am italian. Since food has always been a huge part of my culture, I thought that I would share with you guys my mom’s famous homemade pesto recipe!

Combine the basil leaves, garlic, almonds and pine nuts in a food processor and pulse until coarsely chopped.
Add the freshly grated parmesan and oil and process until smooth and creamy.
Scoop down the sides of the food processor with a rubber spatula and season with salt if you like.
If you want your pesto to be creamier pour a small ladle of hot pasta water in the mixture and stir until well combined.
